Family Ministry

Family Ministry includes both Children’s Ministry and Youth Ministry.

Children’s ministry at Immanuel includes Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Third Grade Bibles, and First Communion, depending on the needs of the congregation families.

YOUTH MINISTRY

This current year, the focus of Youth Ministry will be on Confirmation classes for 7th through 10th grade students.  Confirmation is generally for students grades 7 – 9 or any older students that have not been confirmed.

Confirmation is for students grades 7-9 or any older students that have not been confirmed. 

Confirmation: Confirmation will meet on scheduled Wednesday evenings, 5:00 – 7:30 pm.  A meal will be provided. We will be using curriculum from https://lutherhouseofstudy.org/confirmation/. The students will be studying Baptism and the Sacraments in September and early October.  10th grade students that are wrapping up their third year of confirmation classes will be confirmed on Reformation Sunday, October 25th. 

Current planned confirmation classes (7th, 8th, 9th & 10th grade students):

September 16, 23, 30 and October 7

October 11, Faith Statements are due in the church office

October 25, students will be confirmed during the 9:30 Worship Service

Classes are planned to resume and continue for first and second year students in November.  (Dates to be announced)  Volunteer mentors and lesson leaders are currently being sought to teach the classes.  

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Immanuel Lutheran Church Children’s Sunday School classes are currently suspended during our transition period.  Children are always welcome in our worship space.
