Happy New Year!
In Children’s Ministry…Our annual Christmas Program looked a little different this year, to include all people of the congregation! With a theme of being united as one in Christ, so was an idea had to include adults and children alike, for a Christmas Skit. Our Sunday School students rang bells to “Joy to the World” and dressed up in costumes of their liking. We ended the 2024 Sunday school year with cookie decorating and treats. Sunday school resumes on Sunday, January 5th.
As a reminder, the nursery is staffed each Sunday, and ready for children ages 6 months to 4 years old. No pre-registration required, just stop by, and sign your child in. The nursery is located behind the kitchen, an can be accessed through the door nearest to the piano in the sanctuary.
In Youth Ministry…In December, students continued to learn through the “Believe” series. Our group is thriving and growing but could always use new adult mentors as part of the team! If this is an area that you would like to serve in, please contact Jill Decent or Pastor Paul, and we would love to chat. The youth wrapped up 2024 with their annual Christmas Party on the 18th, complete with games, a Cookie Decorating contest, Gift Exchange, and the blessing of Chef Elizabeth Mattson cooking a delicious pasta bar for us! We were especially blessed by Mikah Cronk and Foreign Exchange student from Italy, Chiara Persico preparing fresh pasta for our meal-thank you! We now look forward to January, where Youth will go to Camp Shamineau for the annual “Winter Wipeout” retreat January 17th-19th.
Thank you to those that took the time to complete the “Family Ministry Survey” that has been available on Sundays to fill out. These results will help us be intentional on the areas of greatest need in the lives of those in our congregation, so we may serve you better in faith, help, hope, and love. Stay tuned!
