Hallelujah Handbells: Handbell Choir

The Hallelujah Handbell Choir is excited to get the bells ringing once again. We have updated safety procedures in place for our practices and performanc-es and will begin our practices on Tuesday, August 25 from 5:15-6:15. We have a smaller group participating this fall, but will still have some great mu-sic. Some of the changes are to have distancing by the tables, individual mu-sic and stands, masks and gloves, washable table coverings and sanitizing techniques. Our first performance will be on Sunday, September 13th.

At this time there are no dates set for the Chapel Chimers. We want to keep everyone safe and at ease and will continue to keep watch with the progress of the Covid 19 virus and to see how the schools are operating. Thank you for your patience in this.

Handbell Quartet
by Judy Kirchoff, Direct

Immanuel’s Bell Quartet played “O Morning Star” Sunda, August 9th. It was great to ring the bells once again as a group. We played 3 octaves of bells and were able to have a bit of fun and hopefully bring a few smiles to the congregation as we performed in our “smiley” face masks.Quartet members were: Sandy Twigg, LuAnn Henrichs, Nancy Heise and Judy Kirchoff.

We have updated safety measures for the bell choir members and hope to begin practices soon and then perform in the fall.

Chapel Chimers: Children’s Chime Choir
Performing the 4th Sunday of the month

The Chapel Chimers are a youth choir playing both chimes and bells.  Currently we have 9 girls and 1 boy attending.  Practices are on Wednesday afternoons from 3:25 – 4:30 in the sanctuary.  The Chimers begin with a light snack after school and practice for 45 minutes.

We practice in the months of September through December and again in April and May and perform in church when everyone is available to play.  This is an enthusiastic group who have learned the musical notes very quickly.  If you have a son or daughter who is in grades 3 through 12 and would like to join the Chapel Chimers, please give the director or the church office a call.

If your son or daughter would like to play the chimes and practice with us on Wednesday afternoons, please contact Judy Kirchoff at 218-546-2804.
