Manna for Malawi
Annual Manna for Malawi Fundraiser
The event raises money to support the Malawi Orphan Care Project and this year will feature the Johnny Holm Band on Sunday, August 15th at the Bridge Tavern north of Crosby.
This year’s Manna for Malawi raffle items include a 50 inch television set, a kayak with paddle and a Yeti Tundra Cooler.
Tickets are on sale now in a variety of places including the Crosby Courier, Mixed Company Kava House in Crosby and the Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union office.
Raffle tickets are also available at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Uplifted Wellness Yoga Studio and at the Music in the Park events in Crosby and at Emily Days. Money raised from the raffle will be added to that from the music event in August.
This year’s event will also feature a Bouncy House, sno-cones and balloons for the kids as well as minnow races sponsored by Buck’s Bait and Tackle. The meal at the event will be pulled pork sandwiches, beans, coleslaw and chips.
There is also a silent auction at this event. If you have an item that you can donate, please contact Terri Wisniak.
Charge for the event is a free will offering. Raffle tickets are $5 each.
Volunteers are needed to run this event. There are volunteer sheets on the table in the bookstore area of the fellowship hall. Stop at this table and see if there is a time slot that will work for you. The time slots are for one hour at a time.
If you wish to purchase a volunteer t-shirt, please go to Red Threads in downtown Crosby to order. If you have a t-shirt from a previous year, you do not need a new one.
Here’s just a few of the great auction and raffle items available!
